Incline High School is now a Chapter of the NfMAE 
National Music Honor Society!

2016-17 SCHOOL YEAR WRAP-UP, SUMMER MUSIC CAMPS & MORE!

 

Congratulations on making it to the end of another school year! 

 

Our Elementary School finished out their year with highly successful 5th grade performances and a Kindergarten Celebration performance. Our Middle School had the biggest, best June reception & concert to date, and the high school held its very first annual Tri-M Music Honor Society induction during their wonderful spring concert & reception; with IHS music finishing out its year with a rockin’ performance at the IES Strawberry Festival & 1st Annual Color-Run and performing for the 2017 IHS Graduation Ceremony.

 

Music at our three public schools continues to thrive, and our high school music program is getting a new line-up of added classes and opportunities as well as looking forward to the much-anticipated theater renovation and seat replacement that should begin by next summer if all goes as planned!

What CYMBAL has accomplished this school year:

• New instruments, instrument repairs, music and supplies purchased for IMS

• Full day of Jonathon Phillips master classes at IHS this April

• Julie Lenz brought Opera to IES on May 18 with Bryan Chuan accompanist

• CYMBAL brought TOCCATA’s guest artist, Violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn and the Red Mendelssohn Stradivarius to perform for students of IES on September 6th.

• CYMBAL provided transportation and tickets for 240 Incline Elementary School Students to attend the Reno Philharmonic performance for schools in September & plans to provide support for the student trip in the fall of 2017.

• CYMBAL provides regular piano tunings, as well as moving expenses for a newly donated Hammond Organ and Young Chang Piano; also piano cover and moving spider.

• CYMBAL has provided the fees for the IMS Smart Music Teacher Subscription.

• CYMBAL provided transportation and festival fees for the 2016-17 Sacramento State Winter Jazz Festival, Folsom Jazz Festival & Reno Jazz Festival.

• CYMBAL has purchased of an Ibanez electric bass guitar, a Yamaha acoustic guitar, and new sheet music for IHS.

• CYMBAL has procured privately sourced funding to ensure that the high school music teacher is once again full-time for the 2017-18 school year.

• CYMBAL paid fees to establish the first local chapter of the National Music Association’s National Honor Society for Musicians at IHS & SO MUCH MORE!!!
