You are cordially invited to dress up as a Flapper or a Gangster and join us for “MOONLIGHT JAZZ CLUB” at 6pm on May 4th at The Chateau in Incline Village. Your evening will include a light supper, mixology masterpieces available for purchase, and dancing to live music provided by our very own Incline High School and Middle School jazz bands! There will be a "Grand Raffle" with many prizes valued at over $500, including an exclusive helicopter tour of Lake Tahoe, a custom fly fishing package, a scenic flight out of Truckee, athletic event tickets, spa packages, jewlery and much more! National Music Honor Society!
The power of music education extends into brain development and academic achievement.  Improved cognition, critical thinking, decision-making and reading skills, and higher grade point averages are just a few benefits of music education in schools.

Musical Happenings at IES

• On Feb 9th performed “America” for the Boys & Girls Club grand opening and ribbon-cutting with Governor Sandoval by IES chorus & after-school strings.

• On March 13th the IES After-School String Class had a great concert!

• On March 14th the entire IES staff and student came together to perform “Sing a Song of Peace” an incredible experience!

April 4th & 5th              Grade Four presents “The Railroad Cars Are Coming” in multipurpose room, 9:30-10:30am



Musical Happenings at IMS

• On Feb 14th  Three 6th grade students had a successful performance in the WCSD Honor Band & Orchestra at the Pioneer Center in Reno

Musical Happenings at IHS

• Successful pep band performances finished out our home basketball season.

• Feb. 24th solo & ensemble competition success with with four top-scoring IHS students!

• The IHS Jazz band played for 8th grade parent night & 8th grade student visit at IHS

• On March 10th the IHS Jazz band performed in the SnowFest parade!  



March 16-18              IHS Jazz Band S.F. Music Trip - students treated to a SF Jazz Center Intensive for girls, a masterclass, two concerts, two performances, parade viewing, fortune cookie factory tour and dinner at the oldest restaurant in Chinatown. Our lucky students are sure to have a fabulous trip!

 Music in Our Community 

• Incline Star Follies is happening March 23rd with shows at 6pm & 8:30pm; & the 24th at 1pm, 6pm & 8:30pm. Tickets available now at the Potlatch. Don’t miss this wonderful community fundraising lip sync event!


Upcoming opportunities for students at this summer’s Classical Tahoe music series July 8-August 12. More exciting information coming soon!


• TOCCATA and Tahoe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus present the moving symphonic work of St. Matthew Passion Part 2 in English. Concerts free to all students 19 & under. Friday March 30th, 7pm at St. Patrick’s Church in Incline.

•  Incline’s very own music school, Village Music, offers classes for toddlers through adults on all instruments, voice, children’s choir, group rock band classes  and Toddler Tuesdays! Drop-ins welcome on Toddler Tuesday & all students are invited to join the North Tahoe Children’s Choir! • NEW “Classical Strings Program” at the Tahoe Truckee School of Music with teachers Ben Martin, Shauna Righellis, and Lucas Arizu and under the direction of Dr. Carlos Machado. Private lessons for children and also adults are offered for violin, Viola and Cello. Scholarships are available!
